Crafting Nature’s Best: My journey with Four Leaf
I’ve always been drawn to the simplicity and power of nature, which is why I started making my own natural health and skincare products. There’s something deeply satisfying about creating something from scratch, knowing it’s good for your body and the planet. But it’s not just about mixing ingredients—it’s a journey of discovery, patience, and a little bit of trial and error. Every step, from finding the perfect packaging to tweaking formulations, is a labor of love.
One of my favorite parts is sourcing the right ingredients and containers. I’m picky about this because it has to align with my values—sustainability and harmony with nature. I’ve spent hours hunting for just the right glass jars and bottles, ones that feel sturdy yet elegant in your hand. I’ve settled on glass because it’s recyclable, non-toxic, and keeps the products pure without leaching chemicals. Then there’s the bamboo caps—I adore them. They add this earthy, grounded touch that ties everything together. It’s not just packaging; it’s an extension of the product itself. Finding these treasures takes time, scouring suppliers, comparing options, and imagining how they’ll look on someone’s shelf. But when I finally hold that perfect jar with a bamboo lid, it’s worth every second.

The ingredients are another adventure.
I’m always on the lookout for new additions—think soothing calendula, nourishing shea butter, or a zesty burst of lemongrass oil. I source organic and ethically harvested whenever I can because it matters. Each ingredient has its own personality, and I love learning how they play together.

Formulating is where the real fun begins. It’s a dance of precision and instinct—too much of this, not enough of that. I’ll spend days tweaking a recipe, scribbling notes, and starting over when it’s not quite right. Trial and error is my teacher, and I’ve had my share of flops—creams that separated, balms that wouldn’t set. But then there are the wins: a silky lotion that sinks in just right or a lip balm that feels like a hug. Those moments keep me going.
Testing is the best part. I’m my own guinea pig, slathering on every batch to see how it feels, smells, and performs. If it passes my test, it goes to my friends and family—my trusty crew of honest critics. They’ll tell me if a scent’s too strong or a texture’s off, and I tweak again. It’s a team effort, and I’m grateful for their patience.
My brand is personal to me, reflected in my logo: a four-leaf clover nestled within the word “Four Leaf”—my last name. It’s a nod to luck, nature, and the rarity of finding what works. I’m not in a rush to mass-produce or cut corners. This is about quality, care, and staying true to what I believe in. Every jar I fill, every label I stick on, carries a piece of that passion. It’s slow, it’s messy sometimes, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
